Consular Services at the U.S. Embassy
The U.S. Embassy provides a variety of services for Americans citizens, including passport renewal, documenting the birth of a child overseas to American citizen parents, and notarial services. We also provide information related to voting in U.S. elections, receiving federal benefits (e.g. social security checks), and more. All services are by appointment, generally Sunday-Thursday afternoons. Click on the appropriate link to the left to prepare for and schedule your appointment. All required forms should be completed in advance of your appointment.
When you come for your appointment, do not bring luggage including large backpacks, laptop computers, or large cameras. Security guards will hold small tourist cameras and cell phones until your departure, but there is no storage available for other items.
If you have an emergency situation, please see our Contact Us page.
