Business travel to the United States.

Please follow these steps for a visa to the United States for business (B-1 visa).

  1. Fill in forms DS-156 and DS-157 in English, submit, and print a copy to bring with to your interview.  You must fill in the form on the computer, as hand written forms will not be accepted.  Forms must be hand-carried to the interview and are not accepted by mail or fax.

  2. Get two photos that meet the photograph criteria and bring these to the interview.

  3. Ensure your passport has at least 6 months validity after the intended date of travel and the names of all children written in Latin characters.  Bring this to your interview.

  4. Bring $131 in U.S. or local currency for the non-refundable visa fee.

  5. Provide documentation supporting the nature of your business and your stay in the U.S., as well as your business activities in your country of residence at the interview.  Documents should be hand carried to the interview and not sent by fax or e-mail.

  6. Request a Non-Immigrant Visa Appointment.
